There are moments in life where everything seems to change. Sometimes it is for the better and unfortunately sometimes it is for the worst. The most beautiful aspects of these moments are that they are barely noticeable. Yet, these barely noticeable moments affect us in the most moving way. Everything is different after them, including our memories of life before them. The impact is so deep, so infused to our very essence, that it transforms our entire being. Nothing remains the same.
Trying to describe these moments does them little justice. They are so profound that words seem incapable of describing them. Yet, we all have felt and observed their affects in others and ourselves. However, often we are oblivious to them in the present and only notice their result as time flows into the past. It almost feels comfortable to say that these moments only find their birth in the past. When they do come into existence is of very little importance though. What is most important is why they come into existence. For no cause can happen without an affect, and these sweeping moments must have a cause. It can be a spectacle of nature, an art piece, or most commonly a person. Whatever it is, no matter how simple, it is absolutely breath taking in its own right. Even if the cause is fleeting, a quickly passing phenomenon, it is timeless. It captures all that we were before it and shapes and revolutionizes all that we are after it.
Whether they are for better or worse, we owe ourselves to these moments. If for the worst, we should reflect upon them and learn from them. If for the better, we should cherish them and hold them tight. In these better moments we are truly opulent in all that life has to offer because everything is changing and is doing so for the better.
